Last week Senator John McCain introduced the Internet Freedom Act of 2009 (S.1836). At first glance you might think the bill is a pro net neutrality act, it's not. It's a bill that prevents the FCC from enforcing net neutrality.
This is a stupid move by John McCain, instead of giving the people freedom on the Internet he's giving it to the ISPs. This bill should be called The ISP Freedom Act of 2009.
I strongly suggest that you write to your Local Representative and Senator and tell them not to support this bill.
To read the bill you may visit this link: http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-s1836/text

6 Year Old Girl Could Face Eviction From Grandparents Home Due To HOA Rules
"Kimberly Broffman is a 6-year-old girl with a very adult problem: she is alone and facing eviction.
She lives with her grandparents in a Florida retirement community, and that is where the problems begin.
The community's bylaws clearly state residents have to be at least 55 years or older. The homeowners association expects an order from the judge any day now that would force the 6-year-old out.
"I believe that they should go. They should find somewhere else to live," an unidentified member of the community said.
Leland Wheeler, the Lakes Homeowners Association president, says he won't force the family to leave - the sheriff will."
"Because the 6-year-old's mother has a chronic drug problem, she lost custody of her child more than four years ago.
Now, because of the community's rules, state welfare workers could take Kimberly out of Judie and Jimmy Stottler's home and put her in foster care until the house sells. "

This is why HOA's suck, from your house must be this color to 6 year old's who's mother has drug issues and has nowhere else to live except her grandparents must be evicted.

Senator Barbara Mikulski Compares the Health Care Reform Bill to the Manned Moon Landing
Around six months ago I emailed Senator Barbara Mikulski telling her that I do not support the health care bill in it's current state. Today I got the average "I appreciate your comments but I'm still going to vote yes even though the majority of the people that voted for me don't support the bill and I don't care if I get voted out of office because I get that senate salary for life" type response.
What shocked my was that she said that the health care reform bill is as a historic moment as the manned moon landing was.
"This is a historic moment. Forty years ago, the United States of America landed a man on the moon. I think that's a wonderful achievement. But if we can send people into space and be able to afford to do it, we can also help people get to a doctor and be able to afford to do it. " Barbara A. Mikulski
The moon landing was an extremely historic moment for the United States Of America, if the USA did not have a manned landing on the moon first and the Soviets did there might still be a cold war today.
If the health care reform bill in it's current state gets passed it will be the day when America became a more socialist nation like the Soviet Union. There will also be no more NASA as we know it, there will be cuts from the tax payer money that NASA gets to help pay for the health care reform bill.

Mobile Digtal TV Standard Finally Approved
The good news is that the Advanced Television System Committee late last night approved the Mobile Digital TV standard. Which means that you'll soon be able to view free over the air tv on mobile devices.
The bad news is this standard uses the same spectrum as the current Digital TV does. Which mean that their will soon be some HDTV compression.
Devices are expected to arive in 2010

iHound Software No Longer Supporting Tracking For iPods and USB Devices
iHound Software which offered a little program that you could install to iPods or other USB devices said that it's no longer supporting tracking for these devices. Instead they will be focusing on protects for other mobile devices, like the iPhone.
I believe this is becuase of Microsoft's move to disable autoplay for non CD, DVD and, Blueray devices. Which made iHound's software for the iPod useless.

Women Arrested For Poking Someone On Facebook

36 year old Shannon D. Jackson of Hendersonville, Tenn. was arrested for poking someone on Facebook which violated a order of protection that had been filed against her. Jackson faces a punishment if convicted of up to 11 months and 29 days in jail and a fine up to $2,500. Jackson was taken to the Sumner County Jail, her bond was set to $1,500.
This is ridiculous, the lady that had the protection order against Jackson should of had her blocked on facebook. That way she would have never recived the oh so offending poke. Jackson for her punishment should have to do 40 hours of community service. The lady that had the protection order on Jackson should be forced to block Jackson on Facebook and if she doesn't comply she too should be senticed to 40 hours of community service. Conflict resolved.

Go Ahead Maryland Text While Driving They Won't Be Able To Prosecute You.
So today in the state of Maryland a No Texting While Driving law went into effect. If your caught texting while driving there is a fine up to $500 and 2 points on your drivers license.
Will they be able to prosecute you if your caught texting while driving, unless there is a fatal crash, no. When people text while driving they usually text between their legs, which in most cases is out of view of a police officer sitting in a patrol car.
If a police officer suspects you were texting while driving he might ask to see your cell phone you can refuse but then he might be able to place you in custody and then search your cell phone. There is a way to stop the officer cold in his investigation when he or she is trying to search your cell phone, PIN lock. On every cell phone there's something called a PIN lock which is a 4 digit number that you can set so only you can access the phone. If the officer ask's for the PIN you again can refuse and at that point the officer would need a search warrant to get the PIN.
Is a police officer really going to go that far, no. It will cost the state too much for a simple $500 fine. Plus the chances of a officer catching you are slim and none. Unless there is a fatal crash they are not going to that far. This law is just to scare people into not texting while driving.
I should point out my personal stance on Texting While Driving, I will not personally text while driving nor will I make a simple phone call. The only thing that would be doing if I did so would be delaying the time it would take me to get to point A to point B. Plus I wouldn't want my insurance rates to go up.
